Peanut Butter “Nice” Cream (Two Ways)

The classic combination of peanut butter and banana is a snack idea that’s well known as a healthy alternative. But did you know that by simply freezing and pureeing your bananas, you can also transform this combo into an easy, delicious dessert?

We’ve put together two of our favorite recipes for a sweet alternative to ice cream that will help to curb those late night sugar cravings. Try these two recipes for peanut butter “nice” cream below!

Classic Peanut Butter Banana “Nice” Cream

Adapted from Pinch of Yum 

Makes 4 servings

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 large frozen bananas, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons creamy natural peanut butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon of salt

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Combine all ingredients in a high speed blender or food processor, blend until smooth. Serve immediately or re-freeze again up to 5 days. Add additional toppings such as chopped peanuts or mini chocolate chips as desired!

Chocolate Peanut Butter “Nice” Cream

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 large frozen bananas, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons creamy natural peanut butter (or crunchy to switch things up!)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon of salt
