Dietitian Health Tip: The benefits of Vitamin D

 

Vitamin D is known to have a role in bone health but recent studies look into the relationship between Vitamin D and cancer, heart disease, diabetes and multiple sclerosis.  You may need a Vitamin D supplement in the winter.  Food sources include milk, fortified soy, almond or rice milk and fish such as arctic char, halibut, salmon, sardines, canned tuna and trout.
