Did you know quinoa is a source of iron containing 1.7 mg in ½ cup?  It is grown for its’ edible seed and can be cooked in a similar way as rice making it a versatile addition to your kitchen.  It is also a source of complete protein, has a low glycemic index, is gluten free and has a great overall nutrition profile.
