Black bean brownies

These brownies are full of nutrition from black beans and nut butter. Packed with protein, fibre, and healthy fats, you'll satisfy your sweet tooth and your body will thank you!

Ingredients
 1 15 oz can black beans
 6 tbsp cocoa powder
 ¾ cup maple syrup or honey
 2 tsp vanilla
 ½ cup unsalted nut butter
 ¼ tsp baking soda
 ½ cup chocolate chips
 ½ cup walnuts or pecans

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350 F, and lightly oil an 8x8 baking pan.

Combine black beans, nut butter, maple syrup or honey, cocoa powder, vanilla and baking soda and blend until smooth (no pieces of bean left!).

Transfer mixture into a bowl and stir in chocolate chips and nuts.

Bake for 45-50 minutes. Make sure to cool for 30 minutes before slicing to allow the brownies to set.
