The Accelerating Primary Care Conference is an inspiring event where participants learn about the latest developments in primary care in Alberta. More than 400 practitioners participated in this – the 7th annual – conference, including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, rehabilitation professionals, mental health professionals, including psychologists and social workers, other health care service providers, senior managers of health services, leaders in professional licensing bodies, advocacy organizations, and government.
Copeman Healthcare was invited to present their poster: Incorporating a Coaching Approach for Effective Case Management and were honoured to receive the Best Poster Award. There were 81 submissions for oral and poster presentation received; 32 were chosen for oral presentation and 45 for poster presentations. The poster was created and presented by Holly Kennedy-Symonds, RN and Sanda Islik, RN, and is based on the successful coaching approaches utilized by the care teams at each Copeman Healthcare Centre.
In addition, Copeman Healthcare’s Director of Neuropsychology, Elisabeth Sherman was invited to speak on Concussion Management, which is a particular area of special interest for her.
