Individual mental health services and comprehensive mental health programs

Our emotional, neurological, glandular and immune systems are all connected – and whatever happens in one system impacts all others.

Recognition of the “mind-body connection” is why Copeman Healthcare is home to psychologists and world renowned researchers dedicated to the early detection and treatment of mental health conditions.

Copeman Healthcare provides individual professional services and complete mental health programs.

Psychologists at the Copeman Healthcare Centre accept private referrals from family practitioners, as well as self-referrals.

Mental Health Services are open services at Copeman Healthcare, which means you do not need to be an existing client of the Centre to book an appointment.

Professional Mental Health Services with a team approach

Preventing mental illness, or reducing the effects of mental illness, is the best possible outcome.

Copeman employs numerous methods to seek out early indicators of mental health problems to allow for intervention before a problem progresses. If a problem already exists, we are able to apply the expertise of our specialized mental health professionals.

These professionals will work closely together to formulate the best treatment strategy for you, often accessing other medical professionals within the Centre such as family doctors, registered dietitians, exercise medicine specialists, and family health nurses.

Copeman Healthcare provides diagnosis and treatment across the entire spectrum of mental health but focuses on clinical psychology, which is concerned with the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental disorders including:

  • Anxiety Disorders
  • Acute Stress
  • Panic Disorder
  • Phobias
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
  • Generalized Anxiety Disorder
  • Mood Disorders
  • Depression
  • Bipolar Disorder (Manic Depression)
  • Stress Management
  • Relationship Difficulties
  • Alcohol & Drug Dependency

Psychological counseling is usually delivered in one hour sessions and, depending on the complexity of the problem, will include a comprehensive assessment using evidence-based questionnaires and other tools.
