Comprehensive Health Assessment

Annual medical risk management for individuals, executives and employees

Your first step in taking control of your long-term health

What is a Comprehensive Health Assessment?

An annual Comprehensive Health Assessment (CHA) is a personalized, head-to-toe assessment. This is performed by a physician*, along with a team of expert medical professionals, to determine your unique risk profile.

Why choose a Comprehensive Health Assessment?

Early detection is a key component of the successful management of disease, as it allows for early intervention when treatment is most effective.

The CHA not only enables early detection, but it also gives you a better understanding of your unique risk profile. The health risk profile motivates your lifestyle choices so you can help prevent disease from taking hold in the first place. Most people are quite healthy. We want to keep it that way – and the CHA is your first step.

Unfortunately, you may not be getting the answers and information you need to take control of your health. You may be undiagnosed or have a misdiagnosed illness, or you could have unknown risks for cancer or chronic disease based on family and lifestyle history.

We help you monitor this carefully to:

  • Detect disease early when it’s easiest to treat and manage successfully
  • Identify personal health risks in order to take steps to mitigate those risks
  • Discover opportunities and provide advice to optimize your health for a better quality of life

What’s included in a Comprehensive Health Assessment

The Copeman Comprehensive Health Assessment is comprised of an extensive panel of tests* and physical examinations*, as well as detailed questionnaires, to properly assess your health status – and your health risks.

Tests range from relatively simple blood tests (completed in our convenient on-site lab) to complete physical exams*, to other sophisticated diagnostics. The CHA provides detailed professional consulting from a physician*, registered dietitian, kinesiologist, family health nurse and a screening and diagnostics team who, together, provide health planning to put you on the right track to optimal health.

The Comprehensive Health Assessment includes:

  • Personalized health risk assessment
  • Advanced laboratory and diagnostic screening based on personal risk profile*
  • Full physical examination*
  • Comprehensive medical history and intake
  • Full one-hour fitness and functional movement assessment with a kinesiologist
  • Full one-hour nutritional assessment and consultation with a registered dietitian
  • Immunization review and flu shots
  • Comprehensive multi-disciplinary health report and review of recommendations
  • Online health management system (Carebook™)
  • Post-assessment 30-minute follow-up consultation with your Copeman physician to discuss your health goals and provide you with your personalized health report – accessible through your Carebook™ profile.*

Upon the recommendation of either the kinesiologist or the supervising physician, you may be referred to a Copeman physiotherapist for an assessment to establish functional impediments to sustainable fitness activity. Upon the recommendation of the physician, you may also be referred to a Copeman psychologist or neuropsychologist (Brain Health).

Every person in this program experiences the same assessment and planning service as in the LifePlus Program. Although ongoing professional care and counseling between assessments is not included in the CHA, individual services from the professional team are available on a fee for service basis as needed or as requested.
