Registered Massage Therapist
Ty Henry is a registered massage therapist at the Copeman Healthcare Centre in Edmonton.
Ty graduated from MacEwan University’s Massage Therapy Program at the top of his class. His background includes extensive experience treating varsity athletes at the MacEwan University Athletic Clinic. He also has experience working at a variety of outpatient sports clinics in both Edmonton and St. Albert. Ty is currently completing his Canadian Sports Massage Therapy certification hours in the Canadian Football League with the Edmonton Eskimos.
Ty incorporates various massage therapy techniques to promote relaxation, including deep tissue, therapeutic and sports massage. These treatment methods are a gentle yet effective way of addressing pain, soft tissue imbalances and function. Ty`s primary area of interest is the management of musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions, with a specialization in hip and shoulder dysfunction. He is also certified in cupping therapy and instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM).
Ty enjoys keeping up to date on the latest research on neuroscience and sports psychology. He has contributed to his field in a research role as the author of a clinical case study involving persistent pain due to thoracic outlet syndrome.
Outside of massage therapy, Ty enjoys spending quality time with his wife and son, and enjoys working out at the gym.
