Dr Sarah Clouthier is a family physician at the Copeman Healthcare Centre in Calgary.
Dr. Clouthier holds an honours degree in Human Kinetics and Health Science from St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. Dr. Clouthier completed medical school at McMaster University and family medicine residency at the University of Ottawa. During her residency, she piloted a self-directed residency program that allowed her to train in rural and remote medicine in Nunavut, Manitoulin Island, and various locations in rural Ontario.
Prior to joining Copeman Healthcare, Dr. Clouthier had a full time family medicine practice in Ontario. She also practiced community palliative care, emergency, and urgent care medicine. She has taught medical students and residents from both Queen’s University and the University of Ottawa.
Dr. Clouthier firmly believes that health can only be achieved by addressing all aspects of wellness (social, emotional, psychological, and physical) and that the best way to do this is with an interdisciplinary, patient-centered team.
In her spare time, Dr. Clouthier enjoys hiking, exploring the outdoors with her dog, and horseback riding.
