Family Health Nurse Practitioner
Kelly Hick is a family health nurse practitioner at the Copeman Healthcare Centre in Vancouver.
Kelly is a graduate of the University of British Columbia, Master of Nursing-Nurse Practitioner (NP) Program. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the British Columbia Institute of Technology in 2006.
Upon graduation Kelly worked in the emergency departments at both Peace Arch Hospital and Abbotsford Regional Hospital. She has also traveled across Northern Canada delivering primary care to all ages in remote First Nations communities before returning back to school to obtain her nurse practitioner designation.
Since completing her Masters she has worked as a nurse practitioner in both the hospital and community settings. She has experience in geriatrics and delivering primary care to all ages. Prior to working at Copeman Healthcare, Kelly worked at Mid Main Community Health Centre in a full scope practice.
Kelly is passionate about health promotion and chronic disease prevention. She is interested in finding the underlying cause of peoples’ symptoms and understanding how environmental factors such as eating habits, exercise and stress can affect peoples’ health outcomes.
Outside of work, Kelly enjoys biking, hiking, weight lifting and spending time with her family and friends.
