Family Health Nurse Practitioner
Jill Payne is a Family Health Nurse Practitioner at the Copeman Healthcare Centre in Vancouver.
She grew up just outside of London, Ontario where she completed her Bachelor of Medical Sciences and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Western Ontario. During this time she was a member of the UWO varsity rowing team. She then attended the University of British Columbia and graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing – Nurse Practitioner.
Prior to joining Copeman she worked at South Slope Medical Office. Here, she was part of a primary care practice with a special focus on young families and women’s health.
Jill is a Clinical Associate with the UBC School of Nursing where she has been a site visitor for Nurse Practitioner students.
Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Jill worked as a Registered Nurse in Ontario in the burns, plastics, thoracic and ear, nose, throat units. In Vancouver, she worked at Vancouver General Hospital as a float nurse with a focus on the burns, plastics, trauma, neurology and spine units.
Outside of work, Jill enjoys traveling, photography, hiking, cycling, kayaking and spending time outdoors with her family.
