Jennifer is a Registered Dietitian at Copeman Healthcare in Vancouver. She obtained her Bachelors and Masters of Nutritional Sciences while attending the University of Connecticut on a full athletic scholarship. Her love of being Canadian brought her back to complete her practicum in her native surroundings of Vancouver Island. She spent the last 8 years working within a dynamic interdisciplinary chronic disease management team in Fort McMurray, Alberta. She is a Certified Diabetes Educator, Insulin Pump Trainer, and member of the Canadian Obesity Network. Outside her regular work hours she is involved with diabetes camps, sports nutrition with local athletes and teams, and the 2015 Western Canada Summer Games food services division.
Jennifer strongly believes team based care is essential to improve health and wellness. Everyone has an individual learning style and readiness for change. Her goal with clients is to find the tools best suited to increase knowledge and foster self-management. ‘Trust the Process’ is a common quote heard from her, as changing our learned behaviors whether it is food, exercise or sleep habits, takes time, motivation, and patience.
Since re-locating back to the west coast she has been enjoying the mountain views, warmer weather, and endless variety of restaurants and activities the city has to offer.
