Dr. Thamarai Moorthy is a Registered Psychologist with the Brain and Psychological Health Program at Copeman Healthcare Centre in Edmonton. She holds a doctoral degree in clinical psychology, with a specialization in neuropsychology, from the University of Saskatchewan. She provides neuropsychological assessment and therapy services for adults and seniors. Her clinical focus is on the early detection of cognitive change and the influence of stress on neuropsychological health.
Dr. Moorthy has and continues to serve as a staff psychologist, researcher, and consultant in hospital and community health care settings. She has expertise in working with clients who are facing neuropsychiatric, cognitive, and/or emotional health concerns. In addition, she specializes in providing supportive counselling services for individuals experiencing caregiver stress.
Dr. Moorthy has particular interests in the areas of positive psychology and successful aging. She is a certified yoga instructor, who has specialized training in mindfulness and cognitive-behavioural therapies. By combining effective assessment and therapeutic strategies, Dr. Moorthy strives to build individualized solutions to help her clients find new perspectives and achieve personal growth.
