Dr. Raymond McConville is a family physician at the Copeman Healthcare Centre in Vancouver.
A native of Scotland, Dr. McConville graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1990. Dr. McConville’s experience includes basic surgical training in Swansea, Wales, followed by a family practice residency in Exeter, England, where he worked as a family, emergency room and forensic physician.
Dr. McConville relocated to Canada in 2002, where he worked as a rural physician providing family practice and emergency services to over four communities. In 2009, Dr. McConville moved to Vancouver where he practiced family medicine in the West End and East Vancouver and served as medical director to CarePoint Medical Clinics. Dr. McConville also served as a director of the Mood Disorder Association of BC, until its merge with The Lookout Society in 2017.
Although he has experience in a number of different clinical settings, Dr. McConville is most passionate about family medicine. He provides care for both men and women and is a strong advocate for those touched by mental health issues.
In his spare time, he is an avid snowboarder, home snowmaker and lover of the culinary arts. You can most often find him on a snowboard or in the kitchen with his family.
