Dr. Peter House is a family physician at the Copeman Healthcare Centre in Vancouver.
Dr. House graduated with distinction from Dalhousie University School of Medicine in 1968 and he has distinguished himself in general family practice in the Vancouver area since 1970. He was a partner in one of the largest medical clinics in Canada and he helped lead that organization in numerous innovations, including comprehensive computer automation as early as 1980. He most recently acted as Chairman.
Dr. House was a preceptor at St. Paul’s Hospital – University of British Columbia Family Practice Residency Program. He has also been a teacher and facilitator for numerous physician educational programs in addition to acting as a researcher for drug therapies in many Phase II and Phase III clinical trials in the areas of asthma, hypertension, diabetes, gastro-intestinal disorders, arthritis, chronic lung diseases and anti-coagulants. He is a diving medicine specialist and he has developed special interest and expertise in cardiovascular disease, asthma, depression and anxiety disorders.
Active in education, and relentless in his pursuit of clinical excellence, Dr. House has become one of the most recognized and respected physicians in the country.
