Mental Health Director
Dr. Mary Ross is the mental health director and a consulting psychologist at the Copeman Healthcare Centre.
Dr. Ross has been involved in research projects and program development at the New York Psychiatric Institute, Vancouver General Hospital, St Paul’s hospital, Boreal wellness and Copeman Healthcare Centre. Her research and program development focuses range from suicide epidemiology, the interrelationship between physical and mental health, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. She is a member of the College of Psychologists of BC and received her M.A. at the University of Southern California, and Ph.D. from Simon Fraser University.
Dr. Ross has over twenty years of experience providing individual and group therapy and assessments to the Attorney General’s office, the Correctional Service of Canada, Forensic Psychiatric Services, and first responders (including veterans, police, fire and paramedics). Dr. Ross is recognized for her expertise and experience developing programs and working with complex trauma and PTSD.
