Dr. Lauren Fineman, MBBS, CCFP, is a family physician at the Copeman Healthcare Centre in Vancouver. She also provides executive health services (Comprehensive Health Assessment).
Dr. Fineman has been practicing in Vancouver since 2007, and was the first completely private family physician to practice in the province. She started her career running a private urgent care centre in Vancouver, and subsequently built a private family medicine practice. Her primary areas of focus have always been preventive health and early detection of disease. As a result, she designed and developed Executive Health, Women’s Wellness and Cardiac Protection programs within her practice. She has been an advocate for the benefits of preventative health and has spoken to corporations, media, and at corporate business events. She has been the Medical Director for a team of family physicians for many years.
Dr. Fineman believes in a patient-centred approach to practicing medicine and has strong and longstanding relationships with her patients.
She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Manitoba, subsequently obtained her medical degree from the University of Sydney (Australia), and completed her Family Medicine Residency at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. She is certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and also has certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.
In her spare time, Dr. Fineman sits on the board of directors for MOBSS technology and provides strategic physician advice to Mettle Nanotechnologies, a Chicago based medical research company. She supports a number of charities, and enjoys golfing and traveling.
