Dr. Hilda Morales is a family physician at the Copeman Healthcare Centre in Edmonton.
Dr. Morales obtained her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Calgary and went on to complete her family medicine training at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. Prior to medical training, she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Cellular, Molecular and Microbial Biology from the University of Calgary.
Since graduating in 2008, Dr. Morales has been practicing the full scope of family medicine, with special training in women’s health and chronic disease management. She has a special interest in wellness based care, believing that the key to health is prevention through lifestyle. Engaging patients to become active participants in their care is one of the most enjoyable and rewarding aspects of her practice. Patients describe Dr. Morales as caring, thorough and knowledgeable.
Dr. Morales has maintained proficiency in performing minor office procedures and enjoys this hands-on portion of her practice. Passionate about continuous professional development, she regularly attends medical conferences, including the annual St. Paul’s Primary Care Conference in Vancouver. Dr. Morales also practices occupational medicine at Horizon Occupational Health Solutions.
When not at work, Dr. Morales enjoys spending time in nature with her husband and two young children, Lucas and Leila.
