Dr. Glenn Keyes
Family Physician

Dr. Glenn Keyes is a Family Physician at Copeman Healthcare Centre in Edmonton.

Dr. Keyes earned an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at the University of Victoria and went on to earn his medical degree from the University of British Columbia in 2013.  He was then chosen to be part of the inaugural class of the Strathcona Residency Program at St Joseph’s General Hospital in Comox BC. Dr. Keyes completed his medical training in 2015 and for the past two years has been in full time family practice in Nanaimo, and working shifts in the new Oceanside Urgent Care Centre in Parksville.

Dr. Keyes is a true generalist at heart.  He has experience in managing a multitude of chronic diseases and has a passion for prevention with a keen eye for early detection of disease.  He keeps current on lifestyle trends and research that is relevant to health and well-being.  He has particular skill and experience treating musculoskeletal injuries of acute and chronic nature in all age groups.  Dr. Keyes is also proficient in a number of office-based procedures, including various joint injections, cryotherapy, and minor surgeries of diagnostic, treatment, and cosmetic nature.

Patients of Dr. Keyes know he truly cares.  He takes the time needed to carefully listen, to fully explain what he is thinking, and does not give up when things are not clear, or when more information is needed. Patient satisfaction survey scores at his recent BC College of Physicians practice assessment were consistently high, with an average approval rating of 4.8/5.

In his spare time he enjoys family activities with his wife Jackie and their three energetic children, William, Rose, and Sam.  He also likes to golf, exercise, volunteer in his church community, and looks forward to finding new winter activities to add to his list of hobbies.
