Ashley Harden is a Kinesiologist at the Copeman Healthcare Centre in Edmonton.
She brings with her over twelve years of experience in the Health and Fitness Industry. Prior to joining Copeman, Ashley earned her degree in Kinesiology from the University of Regina. From there she went on to own and operate her own personal training company. She also gained a wealth of experience managing and leading the fitness operations for the Canadian Armed Forces. She worked as the acting Manager, Exercise Specialist and Fitness Coordinator for multiple Canadian Armed Forces bases. She also co-led the Armed Forces Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation program for Western Canada, which has since been adopted nationally.
Ashley believes in ongoing education and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta. She is very passionate about musculoskeletal reconditioning, cardiorespiratory rehabilitation and working with children to improve their physical literacy. She has additional certifications as a CSEP Certified Exercise Physiologist, a certified Yoga Instructor, Brain Compatible Dance Instructor, Pilates Instructor, Functional Movement Systems™ provider and is qualified for concussion management and stress testing here at Copeman.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Ashley was a competitive dancer and athlete. She attended the National Ballet School of Canada as well as the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School and played Rugby at the provincial level.
When she is not at the office Ashley enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys spending much of her leisure time training athletes, leading power yoga classes and leading a dance program she co-founded called Dance for Kids with Cancer. Ashley is excited to bring her expertise forward to help you achieve your health and fitness goals.
