Family Health Nurse Practitioner
Amy Nihls is a family health nurse practitioner at the Copeman Healthcare Centre in Edmonton.
Amy received her Bachelors in Nursing at the University of Northern British Columbia and a Master in Nursing from the University of Victoria. She has also completed a Certificate in Applied Human Nutrition from Simon Fraser University.
The majority of Amy’s career has been spent working as an advanced practice nurse in remote communities. Prior to joining Copeman Healthcare, Amy worked on an addictions and mental health team as a primary care provider. Amy has an extensive background in fitness and nutrition and prior to her nursing career, worked as a stretch therapist, personal trainer, fitness instructor and nutritional consultant. She is passionate about collaborating with individuals, families and communities in the promotion of optimal health and wellness.
Outside of work, Amy enjoys hiking, open-water swimming, trail running and cross country skiing. She also participates in and enjoys fibre arts and performance arts.
