Tony is an experienced physiotherapist having graduated from the University of Alberta’s Physical Therapy Department in 1998 and working at various orthopaedic and sports medicine clinics in BC. He has extensive training in spinal and orthopaedic injuries by completing his Advanced Diploma in Manual and Manipulative Therapy in 2007 and is a Fellow in the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapists. Tony is certified in Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS), a dry needling technique for individuals with chronic pain and long standing musculoskeletal problems. He is also trained in Vestibular Rehabilitation for treating specific vertigo, dizziness and balance problems. Along with a special interest in running, shoulder and neck injuries, Tony has additional post-graduate training that is specific for neck, shoulder, foot and ankle pathologies.
Tony’s treatment philosophy involves addressing the cause of symptoms using a combination of manual therapy and IMS to restore normal joint and tissue mobility and then applying specific exercise prescription to restore function, correct biomechanics, and minimize injury reoccurrence. Tony is passionate in working together as a team with his clients to successfully obtain optimal health and recovery.
