Management

Don Copeman
Founder and CEO
Don Copeman is an accomplished executive who has spent 25 years building businesses in the health care and information technology fields. He has been the CEO of five healthcare companies and a senior executive at some of the world’s leading information technology firms. He was the architect of one of the world’s first micro-computer based hospital information systems in the 1980’s and helped establish one of Canada’s first private ambulatory surgical centres in 1997. As a consultant and supplier to the public hospital system, Mr. Copeman has been a keen observer of the Canadian healthcare system for over two and a half decades.
Motivated by his own family’s experience, Don developed a deep commitment to help improve the Canadian healthcare system through private innovation and spent a year creating a business model to raise the standard of primary healthcare delivery in Canada. The result was the Copeman Healthcare Centre, a private facility delivering general family care with a very strong focus on preventive health. It is Mr. Copeman’s belief that wide adoption of this new model will help stabilize an eroding Medicare system in Canada and lead to the recovery and revitalization of universal, publicly funded healthcare programs.
